This consultation is being carried out by the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs together with the Devolved Administrations for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Views are being sought on the draft UK National Implementation Plan (NIP) for the Stockholm Convention on POPs.

This consultation also seeks views on the proposed Persistent Organic Pollutants Regulations 2007 which supplement Regulation (EC) 850/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council on Persistent Organic Pollutants. The additional UK Regulations are required to set out certain provisions of the EC Regulation in domestic law.
